Entrepose to build Lagos Beach Compression Station in Nigeria

French contractor Entrepose has won a contract to build the Lagos Beach Compression Station in Nigeria, which is a vital component of the West African Natural Gas Pipeline Project which will transport Nigerian gas to Benin, Togo and Ghana.

Entrepose said that it had been awarded the deal by operator West African Gas Pipeline Co, a joint venture of Chevron, Shell, state-owned Nigerian National Petroleum Co and Ghana’s Volta River Authority.

The 681km offshore pipeline will have its main hub at Lagos with links to the cities of Cotonou in Benin, Lome in Togo, and Tema, Effasu and Takoradi in Ghana. An onshore section in Nigeria will link to the southeastern city Escravos.

The value of the contract was not revealed.
