Shell to boost output from field in North Sea

Shell plans to boost oil and gas output from its Gannet field in the UK sector of the North Sea.

The proposed development includes the carry¬ing out of two well workovers and the drilling of up to four sidetracks at the Gannet A field from the Gannet A platform.

The Gannet complex comprises one fixed drilling and production platform for the Gannet A, B, C, D, E, F and G mature producing fields, located in Blocks 21/25, 21/30, 22/21 and 22/26a in the Central North Sea.

Gannet A is a four-legged lifted steel jacket off¬shore drilling, production and accommodation platform located in Block 21/25, which also acts as the host platform for the Gannet B, C, D, E, F and G subsea satellite tie-backs.
